This is one of the lowest prices you’ll see and a true stock-up price.  But how and why should you stock up on fresh grapes??? The “how” is easy; just wash and seal them in ziploc bags, then toss in the freezer.  And the “why” is because there are several cool ways you can enjoy frozen grapes…

1. “Ice Cubes” for Wine – If you don’t have time to chill your white wine, just pop in a few frozen grapes.  They’ll cool the wine without watering it down, thereby maintaining the flavor of your favorite wine.

2. Sugared Grapes – Here’s a perfect after-school snack, a simple appetizer at parties, or a sweet treat before bed, plus they be kept in a sealed bag in the freezer for several months.

You’ll need

  • 1/4 cup white sugar (or Splenda®)

Directions

  1. Remove grapes from stems and place in a colander. Wash thoroughly.
  2. Place grapes in a gallon-size resealable bag.
  3. Pour sugar into the bag and seal. Gently shake the bag to evenly coat grapes with sugar.
  4. Arrange grapes on a paper towel to air-dry any remaining water, about 15 minutes.
  5. Place grapes in a single layer on a shallow pan or baking sheet. Freeze for at least 2 hours.

3. Infused Water – We all need to drink more water and here’s an easy way to give your favorite hydration source a little flavor punch.

1. Fill a pitcher with water
2. Mix in some chopped frozen grapes, frozen strawberries and fresh mint.
3. Cool in fridge for at least 2 hours to let flavors meld.
4. Enjoy!
