Welcome, Good Morning Texas viewers!
If you’re new to my website, I’m glad you stopped by! Head over HERE and learn how you can save 40-60% on your groceries, household items, clothing, entertainment and more. It may seem overwhelming at first, but if you start slowly (and let me do most of the work for you), soon you’ll be Coupon Crazy, too.
The madness is upon us: Black Friday, Cyber Monday, crowded malls, HOT deals, long lines, bad customer service. Everyone join in now…
“It’s the MOST wonderful time of the year!”
Below you’ll find some tips to help your Black Friday shopping adventures be merry and bright (or at least bearable). Plus, scroll to the bottom and enter to WIN a $100 Visa® Gift Card to Grapevine Mills!
Watch this morning’s Good Morning Texas segment here…
Know Before You Go. Have a list of stores you want to hit and the specific times of doorbuster deals, so you don’t miss out on a must-have item. Both Target and Walmart offer store maps for select stores, that way you’ll know where those popular, doorbuster items are located and you won’t waste time walking around the entire store. For Walmart, just go HERE and input your zip code and choose your store. For Target, you can access store maps inside the Target Mobile App or view it HERE.
What’s on Sale? Head over to my Black Friday Deals page here to see store listings, their HOT sale items, and links to the ad scans. Plus, download the Shopular app and click the “Black Friday” tab, to have access to all the digital ads right at your fingertips on your smartphone.
Price match. Most stores won’t price match Black Friday deals, BUT two stores will. Walmart will match “brick and mortar” (BM) stores, online competitors (like Amazon) and Walmart.com. Radio Shack is trying to get in on the game and will price match both online and BM store prices.
Let’s All Go to the Mall! Robin Sparkles knows this is where ALL the action is. If you’re going to venture out into the swarm of shoppers, get the FREE Simon Malls App and you’ll be able to see the Black Friday sales for individual stores, plus there are mall maps to help you decide which entrance to use, where to park…and to remember where you parked! {Remember to scroll down and register to win the $100 Visa® Gift Card to Grapevine Mills! Plus, head over the the Grapevine Mills mall website and enter to win a $10,000 shopping Spree!}
Shop Online. Avoid the mayhem and crowds of Black Friday and relax in front of your computer. Many stores will be offering the same deals online that will be available in stores. Best Buy is actually offering special web-only deals. And of course, there’s always Cyber Monday…I’ll be posting deals like a mad woman come Monday. Dec. 1st!.
Ship it There. If you’re going to be traveling for the holidays, and make an online purchase, use FREE shipping options and have your gifts shipped to your destination and have it waiting for your when you arrive That way, don’t have to hassle with lugging a bunch of gifts through an airport or finding room in an overpacked car truck!
Hit the Drugstores. Believe it or not, hitting up CVS or Walgreens on Black Friday will score you over $100 in FREE health and beauty items by taking advantage of their store loyalty and rewards programs (i.e. Extra Care Bucks and Register Rewards). Check out the lists of CVS freebies HERE and Walgreens freebies HERE.

There has been a lot of noise this year over the fact that so many stores are open on Thanksgiving day. There’s even a Facebook page with over 100K signatures called Boycott Black Thursday. I won’t get into my views on the subject. Instead, I’ll take the easy way out and list stores that will be open and store that will be closed on our holiday where we show our gratitude and thankfulness for all the things that money can and cannot buy.
Stores that will be OPEN on Thanksgiving:
- Walmart
- Best Buy
- Kohl’s
- Sears
- Macy’s
- Target
- Belk
- JCPenney
- Stein Mart
- Staples
- Walgreens
- Michael’s
- Dollar General
- RadioShack
- CVS
- Big Lots
- ToysRus
- Dicks Sporting Goods
- Apple
- Babies “R” Us

Actually I haven’t ever – but when I didn’t get an offer, I went searching for other deals and found a great one. They delivered it, opened it, and plugged it in! So it ended up being no work at all!
I shop black Friday every year. I have bought lap tops tv’s and toys. Great prices but I liked it more when it was on Friday at yearly morning hours.
We were able to purchase a DSLR Camera for under $200 from Walmart on a Black Froday. Now we are able to use it to take pictures and videos of our new baby! 🙂
