It feels disrespectful and totally lame to be posting deals this morning when our nation, and more importably, my community, is reeling from a crisis. Last night’s callous murder of our brave policemen and policewomen by these cowards is hard to comprehend. But our culture has strayed so far from right and wrong when it comes to so many issues, that we shouldn’t be shocked.
We have turned our back on the basic principles and foundations of the life. And this is the result.
Yes, this is a deals website and not a political blog, so I won’t get in to my personal thoughts on the actions of many groups and organizations over the last year. All I will say is we need a dramatic shift in our current thinking and behavior if our country, and more importantly our world, has any hope of turning around.
I’m a Christian. (Oh no, don’t be scared. But yes, I’m about to go here.) I’ve done in-depth studies on Revelation. People, I don’t know how much more God is going to take before He says, “Enough is enough.” But the fact is, according to scripture, it’s going to get exponentially worse before it gets better. This makes me sad for my kids and future grandkids.
Of course, we’re humans and don’t know God’s ultimate plan or timing. But we are on a trajectory for destruction if things don’t turned around quickly and if people continue to make destructive choices.
“And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ.”
Philippians 1:9-10
Thank you for your thoughts this morning. As a Texan (and human), my heart is also broken over this country and the path we are on. I also know that there will come an end to this madness one day – I just pray for the strength to endure! Many Blessings to you!
