Kid’s Birthday Freebies….and Happy 10th Birthday to my Oldest Son!

I can’t believe my first baby is celebrating a double-digit birthday today! Eek….how did a decade fly by so fast?!?

To commemorate the big day, we gave him 10 gifts, in sets of ten, opened every hour on the :10’s. Yep, it about drove my control-freak child nuts having to wait for each hour to pass before opening another present!

7. $10 for Ten Wonderful Years!

8. 12 Pop-tarts (A rare processed food treat and only $.49 at Kroger w/ coupon and mega sale. And yes, I considered opening the boxes and removing two in order to keep with the “10” theme.)

9. 10 items of Clothing (Under Armour hand-me-downs from friends and Craiglist finds.)

10. A new Backpack (Uh, huh, it’s one of those $.01 Backpacks from Office Max last week.)

And in the midst of our hourly gift unwrapping, we went to Walmart to spend some birthday money, then stopped by Barnes and Noble to pick a new A to Z Mystery Book (love those!) and a FREE birthday treat from the Barnes and Noble Cafe. Yum!

Now he has three friends coming over for a sleepover after two hours of fun at a trampoline park (with a voucher purchased from Groupon).
