Blog Break: I’m Headed to Boston!!!

0

I’m going to take few days off from hunting down and sharing deals because I’m headed to Boston, MA on a super-secret mission! Well, it’s not really secret, but it’s something I can’t share with you just yet. I hope to in the coming weeks.

I really hate to leave during the busiest shopping time of the year, but I have faith that I’ve taught you well! ;)

Here are a few Holiday Shopping Tips to remember:

1. Get a Rebate.  Always go through Ebates or ShopAtHome whenever you make online purchases. You’ll easily earn 5-15% cash back from over 1,000 online stores (like Amazon, Target, Best Buy, etc.). FREE money, baby!

2. Compare prices – Comparison shopping is incredibly easy now. There are sites like Google ShoppingPricegrabber & Shopzilla, and even mobile apps like Red Laser you can use while shopping at retail stores. Red Laser recognizes products by cover art or barcodes, allowing you to compare local and online prices, plus see reviews, specifications, videos, and more to help you make the best purchasing decision.

3. Use Coupon Codes – Before making any online purchase, go to sites like RetailMeNot or Coupon Cabin to find any current promo codes available from online retailers. You can almost always find codes for 15-20% off or even FREE shipping!

4. Get In with the Outlet – Online outlet stores aren’t just where items go to die. There are incredible bargains to be found on sites like OverstockAmazon Outlet and my personal favorite, WootThey offer one HOT deal each day in each of their categories (i.e. Tech, Home, Sport, Kids).

5. Ship it There. If you’re going to be traveling for the holidays, and make an online purchase, use FREE shipping options to have your gifts shipped to your destination, so it’s waiting for your when you arrive. That way, don’t have to hassle with lugging a bunch of gifts through an airport or finding room in an overpacked car truck!

BONUS TIPNational FREE Shipping Day is December 18th…so sometimes it pays to procrastinate.
