We like to bake cookies and decorate them! We have the cookie cutters from when my husband was a little kid!
We open gifts on Christmas Eve after church.
We get all the cousins together to have Cookie Day (yes, with capital C and D according to my kids!). We make 4-5 different kinds of cookies and frost all the cutouts. Big mess and big fun!
We love cutting down a fresh Christmas tree. We leave it at my parents since we need artificial in our home (asthma). It’s still fun to find a tree together and cut it down!
Going to church for the candle service it is truly a magical moment as everyone sings silent night
Love loading up the kiddos in their pajamas to drive around & look at Christmas lights!
We sit around and eat homemade food and play games 🙂

Christmas is my favorite
We decorate the Christmas tree together. It’s a fun time for the whole family.
We get together with my sister and her children at my mom and dad’s house for Christmas Eve dinner and our family gift exchange followed by the candlelight Christmas Eve Church service. We also drive around after the church service to look at Christmas lights. It’s a great holiday tradition for us.
We always do Chili/tamales and karaoke on Christmas eve with my huge (55+ person) family. Santa always visits Christmas day and we have a tacky ornament exchange.
Love taking the kids to see all the Christmas lights and watching the excitement in their eyes.

When the boys were younger, my husband read the Christmas Carol to them each year over the week or two before Christmas.

My favorite holiday tradition is riding through neighborhoods to look at Christmas lights. The windows have to be down and you have to have something warm in your hands!

Gift giving is my favorite Christmas tradition. I grew up in the Philippines with a very simple lifestyle. There are so many lessfurtunate family in the place where I grew. My family was one of them when I was younger. When I get married with my American husband and move here in America, every Christmas we’re always sending some little gifts for the less furtunate families in the Philippines. So that’s why my favorite Christmas tradition is gift giving 🙂

Me and my son make different home made ornaments every year. We give them to all the aunts, uncles and grandparents – and of course momma keeps one for herself!
We take our five children to the same Christmas tree farm every year. We cut down our own tree, play games, drink hot chocolate, and pick out our annual family ornament. We also take our family picture in the hay barn for our Christmas letter.

Midnight breakfast on Christmas Eve with the entire family and Santa Claus to assist with opening gifts. Last year was the most difficult as it was the first year without mom.
Evening church service on Christmas Eve, then drive around to see the Christmas lights, then home for a nice dinner, and then open one gift. I can’t wait!
On Christmas Eve, we always have a family surf and turf night, an activity for the kids like gingerbread house decorating, and then Santa comes later in the evening to give them books and ask what they want for Christmas.
We love to have the kids act out the Nativity story from Bible on Christmas morning.
We love getting new Christmas pajamas on Christmas Eve.
We watch Christmas vacation.
Cookie, hot chocolate and tell 1 good thing about your day every day (we remember) in December.
My spouse and I are getting older so our favorite holiday tradition is simply getting family together for dinner, enjoying the grandchildren, and sneaking in as many hugs and kisses as we can. We watch Holiday movies together, share some
home made tamales for evening snack, and place a few decorations on our lighted palm tree. Special family moments.
