Save on Doctor’s Visits, Dental/Eye Exams & Prescriptions with SingleCare (It’s FREE!)

My hubby and I are both self-employed, which means we pay out-of-pocket for all our doctor’s visits and prescriptions. That’s always fun! {INSERT SARCASM HERE} And since our healthcare system is broken and medical costs are INSANE, we’re always looking for ways to save money.

Let me introduce you to SingleCare.

What’s their goal??? To give consumers access to great care for less money.

And guess what?  It’s totally FREE! What the what?!?

This is what your SingleCare Savings Card will get you:

  • Up to 80% off your prescriptions
  • Save up to 55% on dental visits
  • Access to 200,000 providers nationwide
  • Price estimation toolsDiscount Rx cards

Now, there are a lot of medical discount cards out there, so I did a little digging to see what kind of savings are possible SingleCare.

Need to see a dentist???  I called the office of  Daisy K Cheung DDS and was quoted $176 for a one-surface cavity filling, but with your Single Care Card we’d only pay $130 (see below).

How about a back-to-school eye exam for your kiddo. Stop by your local Walmart Vision Center and you’ll pay $69. But if you have a Single Care Card, it’ll drop your price down to $62.

How can you save on prescription medications? I called my local CVS to get the cash price for Allegra-D. I was quote $66.98 for 60, 120mg tablets. FYI…the generic wasn’t much cheaper at $58.40. Look what you’ll pay with the SingleCare Savings Card:

Also, we are a very healthy family and rarely need to visit the doctor for illnesses (knock on wood). But if we do find ourselves sick and needing some one-on-one medical attention, SingleCare offers affordable video doctor visits. That means without getting out of our sweaty, germ-filled pajamas, a doctor can evaluate us and write a prescription for treatment. Don’t you just love technology!?!

What do you think??? Sound too good to be true? I thought so too, but after a little research I see that it’s just a simple way to save more money. I’m in!

  1. This is so great, thank you! We’re self employed too and paying out of pocket is so expensive. I’m just having trouble finding dental in my area or surrounding area. I put in my zip code and tells me the estimated prices but it doesn’t give me the list of dentists that accept it?

  2. It might be that there aren’t any participating dentists near you. The closest one I found to us was 15 miles away.
